![]() Would the developers get back to me? I can't have these hassles. At that point- whether you try experimentally or when it turns dark when you launch it- how do you escape itwhen the slider somehow goes all the way dark- leaving you no choice but to shut down and then restart- and then consequently lose any text you were working on? Very aggravating. It does NOT WORK!! Especially when the slider sends it to dark screen. Not good for a designer wanting accurate colors!Ģ- forget hitting escape to disable the app, bringing it to default. When it's launched, my screen display casts a bluish cool tint. ġ-So here goes- when I use the app- and why doesn't it remain in the doc to launch-weird) ? Please don't make me wait for the few people with the app who probably don't have the issue - or they give some uneducated theory. They'll never admit their dificiencies!Īnyway my brightness doesn't work - aggravating when you spend all this money and your MBP is compromised because Apple doesn't heed the issues they refuse to fix. ![]() It would be nice if somehow this could be compensated for (percentage settings per screen?), or in case this is difficult, a slider for each screen from the menu bar.I only have this widget, or app because my MBP is on its 3rd stinking logic board. So this renders this app a lot less useful. Unfornately, one slider to rule all screens does not work any more, since the macbook always is a lot brighter. Since I wrote the first review (2015), new, brighter macboocs have hit the market. This is particularly handy for watching movies. So, when you decouple you have a slider for each screen, and in the coupled case: one for all. Tip to make it even better: Make the synchronization of the screens optional (but keep the support for the third screen as is). This synchronization also works when the screens are in different ambient lighting, which is a great improvement over the default behaviour. So not only the first external, but also the second external display, and that brightness cannot be reached from the keyboard otherwise (osx <= 10.9). But the most useful part to me was that it synchronizes the brightness over the internal and all external (Thunderbold) displays. This app intelligently combines the two dimming techniques. Most apps out there are not able to manipulate the backlight, so when you dim the mouse pointer lights up incredibly. This is the first app I saw that actually gets it right. However, it can still perceptually dim the screen byĬontrolling the opacity of the semi-transparent veil (which can beĪny comments or suggestions, don't hesitate: 15-06-2017 There are displays where Brightness Slider cannot control backlight Which means the perceived brightness (the combined result of both The result is that the final jump now has several intermediate steps, When the slider is at zero, the backlight is turned off.
